About tabtlap

tabtlap makes anonymous contact cards: a printable QR code that lets someone send you a message without ever learning your phone number, email address, or which account received it. You choose what — if anything — to reveal about yourself on the card itself; the code always exists, so a printed card never breaks even if you change how you use it.

Privacy policy

This page is a placeholder — a full privacy policy hasn't been written yet. In short: messages sent through a card go straight to that card's owner; a sender's contact info is only ever shown to that owner, never made public.

Cookies (still placeholder wording, not a final legal policy): this site sets two — one to keep you signed in (a random session token; the actual session data lives on our server, not in the cookie) and one to remember your language preference. Neither is used for tracking, profiling, or advertising, and neither is shared with anyone else.

When you send a message through a card, we also log the sender's IP address and browser/device info at that moment. This isn't used for tracking, profiling, or advertising — it's kept only so we can investigate if a card gets reported for spam or abuse.
